The aim of this training is to gain knowledge of the different kinds of Abhyanga practised in India with the techniques from Kerala in the South of India and form the North of India.
Abhyanga is a therapeutic massage of millenary origin and it is part of the Ayurvedic Traditional Medicine. It has had a very important role since its origin and for thousands of years up to the present days in the Ayurvedic medicine.
Nowadays the Abhyanga Massage is offered in luxury Spas, treatment centres and natural Thermae all over the world.For people who are concerned and aware of their health, ayurvedic therapies are becoming part of their daily routines.
This science has for its goal to revitalize the human being through balancing the doshas, i.e., the person’s energies and elements.
Abhyanga is performed with medicinal oil, according to the prescription of the ayurvedic therapist or doctor, and it is spread all over the body in generous amounts or in specific regions of the body for stimulating lymph blood flow and removing toxins out of the body. Besides the benefits of bringing moisture and nutrition to the skin, Abhyanga treats the excessive Vata Dosha, weakness and other problems affecting the lungs, bones and nervous system. It is recommended for people of all ages and helps to reverse the consequences of self-indulgence, instability and solitude.
